Alte Sache

See that old pickup truck? He is a modern day rag picker going through the streets. He has a megaphone and is calling out in Arabic, Hebrew, and Yiddish for old things. There is furniture tied on the back and bags of stuff in the truck bed.

We took the free shuttle bus again, stopping this time at the Haifa Mall just for the sake of doing so. It looked like any other mall – practically anywhere in the modern world, the only exception being having to read the signs in Hebrew rather than English.

And then there are the rest of the Haifa photos – from the Bahai gardens,

the sail building ( government offices)

to various things here and there. Haifa is not all that architecturally interesting – mostly plattenbau.

Nice to see that the Bahai Gardens is still as beautiful as ever. Otherwise Haifa doesn’t change much – it is still recognisable and it is over 20 years since I was last there.

The weather looks quite a contrast to ours here though – the whole country is blanketed in snow.
