Athens – the photos
Rather than make a mess of the other post – I am just adding this.
The port where we docked is actually Piraeus. Although there is free WiFi in the port, the only sensible time to do it is first thing in the morning before the crew gets off or the last 30 minutes before they get back on because otherwise there are just too many people on the network! Needless to say, I missed both windows.
And, just in case you didn’t get the very last picture clearly, may I present
Midnight Swirl, Dark Carmel Pecan, Dark Lion of Belgium, Dark Ganache Bliss
Raspberry Star, Raspberry Ganache Twirl, Milk Praline Heart, Almond Praline Raindrop

This and Delphi are 2 of my favourite spiritual / mystical places on earth. Great photos really capture the sense of the place and although not optimum, the rain seems to suit the sense of the place.
Enjoy and keep those photos coming.
I always found that the Greeks and Italians had no interest in maintaining ruins. They just try and make money out of them and leave the care and restoration to the Polish, French English – i.e. anyone but their own klind!
